Due to the operation of traffic lights in automatic mode at the intersection of Druzhba Street and 2nd Railway Street, traffic was difficult for both drivers and pedestrians: waiting time for the green signal at night was a minute and a half.

SpetsDorProject's traffic engineers installed a special "Smart intersection" system that saves time for all traffic participants. Now from 19:00 to 7:00 there are pedestrian phase call buttons, thanks to which drivers don't have to wait for the green signal at empty crosswalks. Pedestrians no longer have a reason to violate the traffic rules and cross the road on red: now the green signal promptly lights up after pressing the button.
