Tver! Smart intersections to be introduced to new cities

The long wait at the intersection of Komintern Street and Tchaikovsky Avenue and through the Komintern to the railway station is a nuisance to all the citizens. Especially, the phantom green: there are no cars, and the signal is on, pedestrians and cars in other directions are forced to just stand and wait for more than 100 seconds to cross only 3 lanes or cross an intersection. We counted and were once again convinced that it was necessary to eradicate stupid traffic lights – the traffic light took 16 hours of life from the residents of Tver!

The «Smart intersection» from «SpetsDorProekt» is again called to save the situation: now the traffic lights on this section will work in adaptive mode and adjust to the situation on the road. All the credits to «golden reserve» from «SpetsDorProekt»: the intelligence of transport engineers, smart traffic controllers «POTOK», inductive loop detectors, pedestrian phase call buttons, monitoring and control system «OKO». By the end of October, our transport engineers will carry out work on the installation of 8 Smart intersections on Tchaikovsky Avenue and Tverskaya Avenue. This will reduce the length of cycles, save time for both drivers and pedestrians and, most importantly, increase the level of safety on the road!

Governor Rudenya I.M., the government of the Tver region, «Shvabe-Moscow» and «SpetsDorProekt» prepared a gift for this elegant date – Tver turns 888 years old in 2023! As part of the «Safe and high–quality Roads» program, we will «bring to reason» 8 traffic lights - now they will work in a new, smart way.
