Solution and results
The inductive loop detectors used in Smart Intersection technology allow traffic lights to operate in an adaptive mode even in heavy snow conditions. Despite the snow, the inductive loop detector recognizes the vehicle.
In the Tverskaya Zastava square, the snow that fell did not interfere with the functioning, the object kept functioning in an adaptive mode due to the fact that the vehicle detectors are located under the asphalt at a depth of 15 cm.
A total of 108 transport detectors are installed in the square. Even in bad weather conditions, the inductive loop detector is 99.9% accurate in detecting moving vehicles. This allows the Smart Crossroads to function in any conditions.
